MARKETING DIRECTOR
2PG is seeking a Director of Marketing to work with the CEO and other directors on the development and execution of public outreach programs, customer relationships, and other communications that articulate the company's technologies, strategic visions, and business objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Commercialization planning (pricing, partnership programs, etc.)
- Market research (new market analysis, competitive analysis, technology trends, etc.)
- Media generation and public relations (possibly working with an outside agency)
- Cross-functional lead for marketing and other business platforms (CRM, etc.)
- Understand and articulate FDA procedures, standards and processes
- Business development and partnership programs
- Product definition and roadmap
- Establish budgets and prepare to build a team
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A strong understanding of existing medical diagnostics technologies, and the business ecosystem with platforms, ranging from centralized lab equipment to point of care devices.
- Degree(s) or equivalent demonstrated proficiencies in the life sciences
- 7-10+ years in marketing, business development, or equivalent activities within a life science company
- Outstanding presentation skills, including MS Office Products.
- CRM software (any kind)
This is a full-time position and requires daily engagement with the company at its headquarters in Santa Cruz, CA. Expect to travel as needed and appropriate during company growth.
CIRCUIT DESIGN ENGINEER
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Circuit design, Board Layout, using existing workflows to generate BOMs and Gerber file sets.
- Component selection and integration
- Develop the firmware components to connect to peripheral devices.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years with C, C++, including low level bitbanging operations.
- Schematic, Layout, and external manufacturing experience.
- Experience in design of single-board computing or similar system.
- DFT and DFM experience
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with SPI and I2C
- EagleCad and/or Solidworks experience
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Direct business development activities related to all types of strategic partnerships across multiple markets. Candidate must have empirical experience building and directing BD staff in at least one of the following industries: human diagnostics, animal health, agriculture/farming and environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Solicit and pitch 2PG’s capabilities, competencies and offerings.
- Build and develop business development team, establish policies, compensation models, and infrastructure.
- Assess new incoming opportunities.
- Coordinate contract negotiation, including legal and financial resources.
- Collect and analyze market and financial data for partnerships.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA and/or an advanced degree in a Life Sciences discipline with equivalent experience working in a business development role for a life science technology company.
EXPERIENCE
At least 5 years of Business Development in one or more of the following:
- Molecular diagnostics and/or drug development
- Agriculture technology business -- food safety, farming, etc.
- Business or financial analysis in diagnostic products/services
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
MULTIPLE POSITIONS
Identify and facilitate opportunities to enter into strategic partnerships with life science companies across multiple markets. Each candidate should have empirical experience in at least one of human diagnostics, animal health, agriculture/farming and environment monitoring.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive establishment of partnerships to commercialize products.
- Conduct market and product research.
- Solicit and pitch 2PG’s capabilities, competencies and offerings to new partners.
- Develop financial models to support the business case for new partnerships and projects.
- Collect and analyze market and financial data for partnerships.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA and/or a advanced degree in a Life Sciences discipline with equivalent experience working in a business role for a company involved in life sciences.
EXPERIENCE
At least 5 years in one or more of the following:
- Working knowledge of the companion diagnostic and/or drug development business
- Working knowledge of agriculture technology business
- Working in a commercial business or financial analysis role involving companion diagnostic products/services
- Negotiating contracts that include diagnostic products/services
SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER - FIRMWARE
MULTIPLE POSITIONS - Experience Levels 3, 5, 7+ years
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop firmware for innovative diagnostic systems.
- Design and implement firmware architecture for new MCU platforms.
- Evaluate and integrate software from 3rd party vendors.
- Drive multiple cross-department designs from concept through realization (hands-on in every aspect of the process).
- Mentor and/or manage junior developers
- Drive the use of coding guidelines, best practices and tools to improve code quality and maintainability.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical team leader
- Experience in electrical or software engineering or a related field (higher education preferred).
- Extensive experience in system and software design, data structure and algorithm development and optimization.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design principles.
- Extensive experience in C/C++, Java programming on resource-constrained platforms.
- Experience with consumer protocols including USB, WiFi, Bluetooth Smart/LE.
